Hello!

Barbie has honoured iconic fashion designer Vera Wang by releasing a stunning tribute doll.

The beautifully detailed Vera Wang Barbie Doll is part of the the Barbie Tribute Collection, which ‘celebrates visionaries whose incredible contributions have helped shape and impact culture’. The doll is dressed in a monochromatic outfit which includes a romper under a chiffon dress.

The detail in the doll, which was inspired by Vera’s 2017 ready-to-wear collection, is sublime. It includes a peplum belt with zipper detail, black socks and platform heels.

The Vera Wang Barbie Doll is only available at Mattel Creations, and retails for US$40.

  • For once, a Barbie that looks real and not fake! Shame lots of collectors will be stashing these and lots of girls won’t be able to add them to their collections to play with.

  • I had boys and I’ve never collected dolls myself. I do have 3 granddaughters but they no longer play with dolls either. Well done Mattel

  • It’s nice that she’s getting a toy to celebrate her achievements but I don’t know of kids really know who she is and this would mean nothing to them.
