Blake & Ryan's baby name revealed!

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds welcomed their first child in December last year, but the couple have stayed “mum” on their choice of name.

While it was widely reported that the pair had named their daughter Violet, Ryan put these rumours to rest while speaking to USA Today recently.

“No that’s not the name. I don’t want to get into that, but I don’t know where that came from.”

Now E! News has reported that Blake and Ryan have chosen a slightly unusual name for their little girl, calling their bub … James.

While the couple’s choice is typically a boy’s name, model Jaime King used to go by the name James and yummy mummy Blake has a gender neutral name herself.

And it appears baby James already has her dad wrapped around her little finger with Ryan revealing “That started well before she was born.”

Friends have had girls in the last couple of years and gone for Michaela and Robyn as names. If they had boys, I wouldn’t be surprised if they had chosen almost the same names!

We had picked a name that would be the same for either a boy or a girl which was to be Remy James but we decided to stop at 2! My daughters name is Luca which is also very gender neutral.

Hmmm… I’m not too sure on the name for a little girl! James isn’t really a unisex name, it’s more a boys name! But each to their own. i’m sure she will grow to accept and love it!!

What a fuss over their baby’s name. Where did Violet come from originally? James is lovely, and especially considering Blake’s name, it’s a great fit.

It’s no surprise Blake named her daughter James, Hollywood parents are getting stranger with their children’s names not thinking how it’s going affect that child in later life.

seriously, why would you have a girl and give her a boy name, I suppose the poor child can change it and will probably be home schooled so wont have the bullying issues, but you must name your child so that the bullies do not have any ammunition,
