Candice Warner has revealed she had a miscarriage shortly after Husband, David’s, ball-tampering scandal.

In an interview with Australian Woman’s Weekly, Mrs Warner said the stress and taunting she received after the incident led to her miscarriage.

“I’d have to be bullet-proof for the taunting not to have affected me,” she told the magazine.

“It rocked my very foundation and I paid the ultimate price, losing our baby. I wonder how all those who came after me feel now?”

Mrs Warner said she miscarried just one week after her husband’s emotional Sydney press conference, where he apologised “unreservedly” for his part in the ball-tampering scandal.

“I called Dave to the bathroom and told him I was bleeding. We knew I was miscarrying. We held one another and cried,” she said.

“The miscarriage was a heartbreaking end to a horror tour,” Mrs Warner said.

“The ordeal from the public humiliations to the ball tapering had taken its toll and, from that moment, we decided nothing will impact our lives like that again.”

David has shared his support  since Candice revealed their heartache

David Warner has since broken his silence in an emotional Instagram post.

He wrote: ‘We as a family have been through one of the toughest times over the last few months, but nothing will ever stop us from being just us.’

David wrote: ‘I have three of the best girls in the world that I cherish and love every single waking day. I am truly blessed with this!!’

“My wife my rock has endured pain, disappointment, regrets in her past and so many highs and lows but the courage Candice has shown in recent months is a testament to the qualities she has as a mother, person, friend and wife.

“I’m grateful everyday I get to call her my wife and my soul mate, I wouldn’t want it any other way.”

  • Stress can do some horrible things to your body, even chest pains and headaches.
I received a nasty letter from a jealous relative. I got really stressed and upset about it.
The next night while watering the garden I suddenly got chest pain so I sat on the lawn,
then crawled to the back door, then called my Mum for help.

  • The media just don’t even stop to consider the devastating affects their over reporting can have on people behind the scenes. The media are allowed to be tooinvasive and it’s damaging

  • Oh my. I didn’t even know she was pregnant. What a pity. I am so sorry. It was a very emotional time indeed that has affected the all family. But losing a baby.. so sad. :-(

  • I’m sorry for her loss. I hope they are able to move forward with happiness.
It’s a sad world when we agree bullies should be punished and yet as adults, through social media many bully/troll others for perceived wrongs.
What happened to “If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all”?, even just taking an extra minute or two to think about what we are saying will help.
