The 45-year-old said, “My kids collect everything. Whatever the craze is, they’re onto it, including Ooshies.”

So imagine her delight when she was shopping at her local Woolworths and stumbled on what she said was the last Ooshies Collector Case in the supermarket.

“Did you see that little booklet where you put them all in? There was one left at my local Woolies and I got it,” she said.

“Anyway. Got the booklet, very excited, had three kids with me after school, my own, not just others that I found. My own kids.”

Awesome! Yeah, but it wasn’t until the mum of three got home that she realised the parenting fail she had made.

“Anyway I got everything through from the self checkout and I got home. My eight-year-old was really excited about getting the book and guess what? I left it at the supermarket and I’d paid for it.”

Chrissie explained she didn’t bother going back to try and track down the case.

Oh dang! That is something I would do. Have you been caught? Share your comments below

  • I think most people can relate to being rushed and busy and leaving something behind.

  • Oh no! I would’ve rang up in case as I’ve left items before and they’ve been put aside. Darn!

  • If it is in a shopping bag it is likely it has been put aside. I left a bag of shopping behind once. The checkout operator had packed it on a shelf in a lower shelf in front of him and not put it with the others. I rang the supermarket and was able to tell them what at least some of the items were. I asked for the staff member’s name who took my phone call and wrote down the time. I asked them to hold the bag until I was able to collect it the next day.

  • Happens to all of us. I’ve left whole bags with shoppings. I went back when I realized it and they had set it apart for me.

  • She shouldn’t have a problem claiming it if she calls them and says she paid for it – kind of thing I’d do too – Lol !

  • Oh yes. Done that before lol Hope she will be able to get another one.

  • Of course I would. Sigh.

  • A quick call and stores hold the item – particularly when paid for by the consumer.

    Reply

  • Yes that is something I would do but if I left it there I would’ve been shattered and tried to track it down.

  • Why not just pop back in and get another one at some stage?
