Her message is a good one; don’t forget to look after yourself and don’t sweat the small stuff. Losing yourself doesn’t help anyone, especially not you.

Her comments about looking after yourself whilst still be expected to do so much are spot on! I always give new mums not only a present for the baby, but also something for them too.

  Giving Mum a present is not something I thought about. We forget that Mums don’t have time to think about buying themselves treats. If they have them at the ready, they will enjoy them. I’m sure they would enjoy a nice long hot bath while baby is asleep to help relax those weary muscles if nothing else. Don’t fall asleep though because you may wake up feeling very cold.

They are surely important points! Let’s be kind to ourselves. 🙂

I think it’s hard these days to balance out life with kids. We’re just so busy and I agree that mums (but not always just mums) put themselves last sometimes. It’s important to put aside some time for yourself!
