We’ve teamed up with the team from Hills Indoor Laundry to giveaway two prize packs valued at $264.95 each!

The laundry may be one of the smallest rooms in our homes, but it’s most likely one of the hardest working spaces where practicality and functionality go hand in hand. Transform your laundry space with the new Hills Indoor Laundry Collection!

The Hills 21 Metre Portable Clothesline (RRP $199) is the innovative indoor-outdoor drying solution that bridges the gap between conventional outdoor clotheslines and indoor clothes airers. It is fully weatherproofed with the same material construction as a clothesline with the addition of four adjustable height levels and folds up reasonably flat for easy storage. Its 1.8 metres long lines are perfect for towels and sheets. It has a capacity of 30kg and is easy to manoeuvre with its wheels.

Carry your clothes from wash to line with the Hills Foldable Bamboo Laundry Basket (RRP $29.95). It has a strong, lightweight bamboo frame with a waterproof polyurethane coated fabric. It is foldable and has 35L capacity. It is available in Black, Smoke or Grey colours.

With its lightweight aluminium frame, the Hills Premium Aluminium Laundry Hamper (RRP $36) allows for a large capacity load of 105L. It has Hills fresh, anti-bacterial fabric with odour control. It is heavy-duty, making it easy to hold multiple wash loads.

Hills indoor laundry and clothesline range is available through Bunnings Warehouse stores and independent retailers. For more information visit www.hillshome.com.au.

Both winners of the competition will each receive a prize pack including 1 x Hills 21 Metre Portable Clothesline, 1 x Hills Foldable Bamboo Laundry Basket and 1 x Hills Premium Aluminium Laundry Hamper.

  • Sort laundry into colours dark and light,
Use washing powder or liquid that for you is right,
Hang washing, preferably outside in sunlight,
Or even inside when raining, when using your handy Hill’s Indoor-outdoor portable clothesline’s a delight!

  • I try to do a load a day and I fold the clothes straight from the line, stops creases so I don’t have to iron!

  • Dry laundry on an indoor airer with the fans on and windows open to avoid build up of toxins and humidity. Windows can simply be closed if any bushfires or pollutants are outside.

  • We have 3 gorgeous kids
Who each have a basket in their bedrooms
So when its full they give it to Mum
    To do the laundry `deed’

  • Get my wife to do it … of course there is flowers and chocolates from yours truly when it’s done.

  • Don’t think about it, just do it. Organise your week and sort your laundry as it is created and as it is renewed. Think of each piece as a gift of comfort and cleanliness to your family, so the world can see them and not be distracted by their clothing state.

  • Get to it before it’s out of control, I do a load daily and that keeps it manageable.

  • Doing a little bit during the week instead of cramming it all in over the weekend.

  • Do a bit everyday

  • Putting dry clothes away ASAP, with kids responsible for their own. Each person brings their baskets into the lounge, hangers at the ready, and we all fold and hang our own. All clothes then carried in everyone’s respective baskets back to their bedrooms and put away

  • To not let it pile up! Do a pile every few days and to fold the laundry while jn meetings working from home!

  • Get the whole family involved and halve your time sorting out the clothes.

  • One basket per family member has seen laundry finally under control. One section of the Hills-hoist per family member sees each child getting their own washing off, folding and putting in their own clothes away once inside. Quality time of conversation meets mentoring of domestic chores and incidental learning.

  • Do it regularly. Don’t let it build up. It becomes more of an effort.

  • Separate as you go, so on the weekend you can just grab each pile easily to load

  • Tackling laundry’s a family affair. The kids love being outside. As soon as I get the laundry off the line we all start folding in the sun! If they’re not in the mood I turn it into a folding race. Their competitiveness gets it done quick sticks!

  • What works best for me is to not leave it all until the weekend do some every few days depending on the size of your family.

  • Try to get a load done each day ( or every second day)

  • Wait until you have a full load! Not only does it mean you won’t have to do laundry as often, but it’s also much better for the environment – and we all need to do our bit however we can!

  • Its not a one person job. Teaching the children how to do laundry doesn’t just remove the weight from the parents, but teaches them valuable life skills. Start them at a young age and share the workload.
