  • My favourite fictional friendship is Romy and Michelle. They are firm friends who don’t take life too seriously, enjoy a laugh, and have remained great friends from school through the ups and downs of life.

  • Alfred and Bateman in any of the movies. Alfred has the best words of wisdom that we all know come through as a father figure just giving advise… I’ve only realised this after having kids

    Fred Flintstone and his mate Barney Rubble have a friendship that dates back quite a while!

  • Bridget Jones is my soul mate,
    With her life I can surely relate,
    Her advice got me a date and success….a beautiful family I did create.

  • Lizzie Bennet and Charlotte Lucas in PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. Their friendship survived, even when Charlotte went on to marry Mr Collins after Lizzie rejected him! Knowing her friend married such a silly man gave Lizzie no pleasure, but she never said anything. It is such a beautiful, gentle friendship.

  • Jesse and Leslie on Bridge to Terrabithia. My favourite book as a child. Such a beautiful friendship. They bounced off each other to create such a wonderful world

  • Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. Teamwork always solves the case, work hard, play hard and you will have loyal friends forever.

  • This fictional friendship of Rosie and Isobel sounds like my favourite because it shares the true characteristics of friendship with love and raw emotions. Sounds like my kind of friendship.

  • Rose and Jack from titanic

  • The Pretty Little Liars group as although the girls have there ups and downs – it shows the true power of friendship

  • She just turned 70 i just turned 40 our birthdays are like a week apart we live to gossip about the neighbours while i trim her nails and keep her face hairless looking good for our nights out at bingo and we love to win :-)

  • I don’t think I can mention exact characters or a book but I’m a big fan of the protective teenage male who takes the misfit female under their wing.

  • Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, they are the perfect mother daughter couple to look up to. They have a strong bond and a friendship that will withstand any hurdle.

  • Harvey and Donna in Suits…..Just when you think it may be going in another direction. BAM back to friends. They have a great onscreen friendship that extends to real life.
