Congratulations Kelly Rowland

Kelly Rowland has shared some very exciting news.

The former Destiny’s Child star has released a statement to People to announce that she and husband Tim Weatherspoon have welcomed their first child together.

We are thrilled to announce that we are the proud parents of our first son. We are blessed to report that everyone is healthy and happy

The couple, who married in Costa Rica earlier this year, welcomed their 7.5 pound bundle of joy on November 4 and have named their son Titan Jewell.

The 33-year-old singer revealed that Tim chose their son’s name, saying “The dad picked out the name. It has to do with family.”

Kelly keenly showed off her growing baby bump throughout her pregnancy, posting a number of photos on social media:

From the sounds of things, it seems like Kelly is going to have her hands full, joking to People in September “When the baby gets here, it’s not just one baby. I have two babies now. My husband and the baby- you have to take care of both.”

Naming my first was a nightmare as my husband was seriously impossible and hated every single name i came up with. I went thought hundreds and in the end was simply suggesting names that i didnt even like. I tried so hard to find a name he liked but there was nothing. In the end i saw that for him it was all about other people and he was out to impress and when he would mention names to people there would always be someone that didnt like whatever name he was suggesting so he would forget it. Imagine going through life only doing things that everyone else was ok with you doing…LOL I few days after our baby was due I told him that if she was born and we didnt have a name sorted then he could forget and i was naming her after the Doctor so she would be bernadette. he didnt like that at all so i suggested he hurry up. Finally he settled on a name.
With our other two I gave up including him and said that as he had named our first i was naming the rest….it worked much better.

my sister in law used to call my baby this name when I was pregnant even though we did not know the sex and she passed away two days before I was due so it just made sense that our child be named your aunties name of choice

We thought we’d made our son Boden’s name up, but have since discovered it’s Scottish for ‘gift from God’. Quite lovely, actually.
