Drew Barrymore will have 2 under 2!

Drew Barrymore was an only child, “and it was lonely,” she said recently, so she didn’t want that experience for her daughter, Olive, 13 months. Her wish has now become real – she’s pregnant again.
“Yes, it’s happening, it’s true,” she told US People magazine. “I tried to keep it a secret for as long as possible.”

“When I found out I was overjoyed. It always feels so surreal, it’s incredible,” she said. “[I’m feeling] incredible, that ‘Here we go again‘ feeling. And blessed. Blessed! You’re so lucky to get to do it. It’s such a miracle. I just felt really lucky.”

When the actress, producer and creator of Flower cosmetics went on the US Tonight Show in early October, she said she was ready to get pregnant “right away” if she could. And at 38, “I’m glad I lived such a full life before I settled down into a family because I got to enjoy it and get it out of my system,” she has said.

She and her art-consultant husband, Will Kopelman, whose 2012 wedding was “really one of those perfect days,” are thrilled, she told Tonight Show host Jay Leno, because “we just wanted so badly for Olive to have a sibling,” she says. “In some ways, it’s really for her. So congratulations, Olive!”

And she’s just running with her cravings.“Oh my God, I’m eating everything! I can’t get enough of Chinese food. It’s all I want to eat!” she said. “I’m feeling very, very happy. Happy and healthy – mentally and physically.”

A neighbour of mine thought long and hard about having a third child. She and her husband talked about it a lot, worked out the finances, and lots of other issues, and they decided to go ahead and try for baby number 3. Her daughter was 2 1/2, and her son was 11 months. She fell pregnant very quickly, and when she was having her first ultrasound, she thought that there was something seriously wrong when the sonographer let out a gasp. Wrong? Oh no, but it certainly was a surprise to find out that she was pregnant with twins. So she ended up with four children under 4. They certainly struggled after the twins were born, as, unlike those people who are rich and famous, they didn’t have the luxury of being able to afford nannies and the like, to make life easier for them. They wouldn’t change their family for the world, but it’s certainly been hard for them.

Yes Drew Barrymore will have 2 under 2 but she also has lots of resources and support available to her. I think its very different for celebrities and normal people! Having said that she does sound like a very good mum!
