Gina Rodriguez and her husband Joe LoCicero have welcomed their first baby!

The the Jane the Virgin and Not Dead Yet star announced her pregnancy on her 38th birthday in July last year, with a sweet video which included selfie showing her holding up a positive home pregnancy test, with tears in her eyes.

She has since shared some gorgeous pregnancy updates, including the last video of her pregnant, seven weeks ago, when she was 40 weeks.

A representative for Gina has confirmed that she’s since given birth to a boy, but there have been no further details. But she has been spotted strolling in LA with her baby in a carrier.

Gina had been open about wanting to be a mum for years, admitting in 2016 on The Ellen Degeneres Show that she wanted a baby ‘so bad’.

“But I don’t want the whole process, I just want one to arrive, like the stork conversation,” she laughed. “I could adopt, right? Yeah, I just might do that. I definitely want to adopt.”

She also mentioned that working on Jane the Virgin also made her clucky. “I feel like they bring the baby up to me and my ovaries are like ‘Ahh! Come here, baby!'”

Gina and Joe first got together after Joe played a stripper on Jane the Virgin in 2016, and the couple were engaged two years later and married in May 2019.
