It’s a girl for Gogglebox Australia star Isabelle Silbery, who has welcomed a daughter with husband Alex Richards.
The TV star, who appears on the hit show with her mum Kerry and grandma Emmie, revealed the happy news on Instagram, sharing a couple of gorgeous photos, and revealing her baby girl is named Ruby Emily.
“The female body is truly incredible,” Isabelle, 36, wrote. “My daughter is here and the experience was grounding and empowering. I’m hormonal and in a love bubble. More to come soon.”
Proud dad Alex also shared the news on Instagram, saying, “This little one just changed my life. Ruby Emily Richards, you have no idea how loved you are going to be. You instantly gave me another purpose in life. I can’t wait to watch you grow. @isabellesilbery your feminine energy when you brought her into the world was so powerful. You’re amazing.”
Isabelle, who also shares a nine-year-old son with an ex-partner, recently opened up about pre-natal depression, telling the Herald Sun that she had been struggling during her pregnancy.
“I should be over the moon but I did not feel like that, [and you ask] what’s wrong with me,” Isabelle said.
“My oldest is nine and it’s been so long between drinks, it takes so long to get your body back and your mind back and your lifestyle is so good now. It was just allowing myself to process that it will be OK.”
Isabelle has also been candid about previous pregnancy loss and miscarriages.
“It’s amazing when you start a conversation openly what then comes your way,” she said. “So many women haven’t had the rainbows and butterflies pregnancies and it’s totally OK to not. And to kind of put your hand up when things aren’t feeling OK.”
Isabelle and Alex married in February last year, and announced their pregnancy in June this year, revealing their miracle happened just before they were due to see a fertility specialist.
The family announced earlier this year that grandma Emmie wouldn’t be appearing on Gogglebox any longer, after she was diagnosed with dementia.
