Grieving Mums Touching Act for Random Stranger After Losing Her Baby

Grieving mum purchases a first birthday cake for a total stranger’s baby after suffering her own personal tragedy.

Nick DeClemente, who works at a Publix supermarket in Jacksonville, Florida, wrote about his recent experience with a grieving mum on Facebook.

“A lady just came up to the bakery counter and asked if we had any first birthday cakes on order for Saturday or Sunday,” Mr DeClemente wrote.

“She said she wanted to pay for one.”

Mr DeClemente asked for a name for the cake, but the woman wouldn’t give him one as she wanted to pay for someone else’s, shared Yahoo 7.

“She then started to tear up and tell me that she had a stillborn child a year ago and in tribute to him she wanted to pay for someone else’s cake,” he wrote.

He showed her an order form for a custom Sesame Street “smash cake” for a one-year-old named David, and a receipt shows the woman paid $46 for it.

“She told me thank you and appreciated that I let her do this. It was probably one of the most touching things I’ve seen in all my years working in retail,” Mr DeClemente wrote.

“I hope that this lady finds peace through this tribute and that the customer receiving this gift will, if nothing else, pay it forward.”

So very touching. Our love goes out to that grieving mum.

What a beautiful gift.
This is what I do yearly on what would have been my mothers birthday. One year I paid for breakfast in a diner in the US for a couple. It was supposed to be secret but the waitress blabed to them that it was me that had paid.
Its so much more fun if its secret.
