Every year Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop releases a series of Christmas Gift Guides that leave us scratching our heads, and the 2023 guides have not disappointed!

This year she’s released a series of gift guides, including gifts for travellers, cooks, hosts, men, kids and lovers.

We’re honing in on the Ridiculous But Awesome Gift Guide because, as the name suggests, these gifts are crazy expensive.

For the board game lovers, there’s the Poppies and Crane Backgammon Set, which retails for US$14,580. It’s ‘handcrafted by a team of artisans, including master joiners, leather experts, and lacquer artists’.

Or what about this Hand-Painted Tulip Vase Pyramid, worth US$16,752? ‘Inspired by royal vessels from the Dutch Golden Age, it’s made of seven stackable tiers, each of which is intricately hand-painted with flora and fauna.’ Just keep in mind this is made to order, so you’ll need to allow 10-12 weeks.
