Trendy yet comfortable is the best way to dress your man this season.

This year is all about statement fashions for women and men! So what’s hot on the runway and, even more importantly, what are the guys really wearing. Let’s take a look at the following top-ten men’s styles that are bound to excite both you and the man in your life!

One – Blue:

Blue coats, ties, jeans, and a variety of dress and casual shirts, like those found online at  yd., are at the top of this season’s list of fashion trends. Every shade is in, from navy to cobalt blue! If your guy happens to have a pair of baby-blue eyes, even better!

Two – Orange:

While it may be a little hard to believe, the colour orange is in vogue. Designers worldwide are creating fashions from a full spectrum of hues, and shades of orange are on the top of the list, even in men’s clothing lines.

Three – Monochrome

Men’s suits are making their mark with a traditional monochromatic dash. Though classic, black and white will set your guy apart, especially when he’s dressed in an updated, trim-cut suit or tux.

Four – Berets:

Moving away from colour, the French beret has made it back onto the runways, even outside of Paris. A great beret is ideal for foggy days in the country, and this revived accessory will turn heads, especially when coupled with the right jumper or jacket.

Five – Polo Necks:

Another ‘don’t look so surprised’ retro favourite, a polo neck t-shirt looks terrific underneath his suit-coat or worn alone with a great pair of jeans. Your man can show off his great abs while maintaining his masculine cool.

Six – Skorts:

Well, he’s got to be a brave one for this season’s hottest trend… skorts for men! Yes, you heard that right. If you can get your guy to wear a ‘man-skirt’ he’ll be one of the top trendsetters on your street and, more than likely, in the entire community! Another high-street favourite is  ‘meggings.’ You heard that right as well; male-leggings are one of the quirkiest trends this season.

Seven – Checks:

This one may take a little less convincing. Checked coats, suits, trousers, knit shirts, you name it, checks and plaids are hot. The return of retro ‘90s… camo and polka-dot prints move over!

Eight – Bring out the Ghoul in Him:

From Frankenstein attire to zombie t-shirts you can bring out the ghoul in your guy, or not!

Nine – A Statement Watch:

Watches are in and trendier than ever. A great watch will make a fashion statement today as well as a good impression in the years to come.

Ten – A Dog:

The ‘English gent’ is the look of the day, and although a dog isn’t an accessory per say, man’s best friend is one of the hottest guy trends this season! Be it a Dalmatian, basset hound, or a corgi it may be the wardrobe addition that your man will most love you for!

  • The only one of these I could do with my man is the zombie shirts! He’s a walking dead fan and hates fashion! :)

  • Some of these are great, but others I can’t imagine any man wearing. I’d also like to think that a pet is more than the latest fashion addition, and not just a fad.

  • Wow! No way on earth would my man wear a skort. I’d probably die laughing if he did.

  • ohhhh dear, lol. Im just thinking of my Mr getting all worked up at this article title…. “I can bloody choose my own clothes, I dont need a woman choosing them for me! I have perfectly fine fashion sense” oh and it would go on…. hes right though he dresses as well as the next man and does it all himself. The implication that men cant dress themselves is a little degrading.

    • Thanks for this post as well, you summed it up completely. My hubby and son would say the same thing.
