Perth mum, Yasmin Walter, shared a sweet pregnancy announcement with her young daughter, but Instagram wasn’t having it!

“I thought it would be nice to have both the baby in me and my other baby on me,” said Mrs Walter, who was photographed with her four-year-old daughter, Azélia, said.

“So it’s just a nice bonding moment for the three of us.”

But not everyone was impressed, with Instagram soon deleting the image for breaching its nudity guidelines, shares Perth Now.

“I air-brushed her nipple off so it wasn’t revealing,” Mrs Walter said. “But still someone reported it and Instagram deleted it. I was so upset.

“If anyone has a problem with it, they obviously have a problem in their own head. Kim Kardashian and other celebrities upload photos of their babies and you can see nipple and everything.”

Mrs Walter is seven months pregnant in the photo and had only told close friends and family she was expecting before uploading the image on social media. The 32-year-old mum said the pose was her daughter’s idea.

“She said, ‘Mummy let’s try with me on your lap’. And the photographer just caught us in that moment, when I was embracing her. And it turned out to be an unexpected favourite photo of everyone.”

  • its a lovely photo but you dont need to be posting these sorts of things all over the internet. Just keep it as a family only photo. And I dont need to hear that the naked body is beautiful and its natural and you cant really see anything. Having a poop is natural and helps to keep you alive and everyone does it but I dont need to see photos of people doing that either.

  • This is the kind of photo you keep for your family and close friends. I’m not big on people posting photos of children on a public social media. Doesn’t make sense to me.

  • It is a beautiful photo, but not sure I would be sharing it publicly. Don’t think I would even have posed nude for it, public or private showing.

  • Um, on one hand it’s a beautiful image but I can see why it might upset people. It’s very intimate – perhaps it should’ve only been for private use? I’m sure that child will be super embarrassed by it when she becomes a teenager.

  • It is a beautiful photo. Maybe if they had been wearing knickers they might have got away with it….not that you can see anything

  • It’s much more private than other photos shared on line but, I do agree that it should be personal.

  • It is beautiful but keep it private then no trolls will criticize.

  • Think this should just be a personal photo – I wouldn’t share it on Instagram or anywhere else – it’s private.

  • Such a beautiful photo. If she dun share it we wouldn’t have a chance to see it.

  • It is a sweet moment but you are obviously going to get attention when you post that, save it for yourself and your family not for the whole world to see.

  • It is a beautiful photo, but I agree with some… perhaps keep it for yourself and not post it on social media.

  • Such a beautiful picture. What sort of shallow person would report it? Gorgeous and I absolutely LOVE it.

  • Keep the photo for yourself but not on social media or you know it will be criticised.

  • I have full appreciation of the picture itself, but was it really necessary to post it on social media to feel validated about yourself??

  • Truly beautiful photo!

  • I think it is a really touching photo and I love it – I don’t get the double standards with instagram – showing scantily clad women in see through tops or bikini’s is ok but this isn’t – you can’t even see anything here!

Shame on them for having double standards

    • Social media seems to abound with double standards which is rather perplexing at the best of times.

  • As a mom of 3 girls myself, I think the photo is amazing. However, I don’t think it’s social media material.

  • Social media always astounds me with what is acceptable and unacceptable.
