Oh my goodness, that’s just crazy.

Hopefully they get all the help they need. They have had to grow up too soon

Such a sad story. And this young girl has suddenly left behind her child world. The father too. He’s now 14. I hope the family will help at this difficult time in their life.

Complex indeed. Possibly not exploitative, given the father’s age, but dreadful consequences.

Oh my this is so sad, for all parties – step brother/step sisters might not think those lines being crossed is an issue but to the outside world it is. I don’t wish to comment because we really don’t know any of the facts about why or how nor will we ever find out – I just wish them all the best in dealing with the situation they find themselves in and hope that are getting support and help that they need.

Wow, it was her step brother! He at 14 is old enough to know what they were doing is wrong and I believe there should be some sort of charges laid against him. This whole case is just shocking

Such a sad thing that it turns out to be her step brother. That family is in a whole world of pain. So sad.

This is so totally wrong. Where on earth was the parents before this happened. the kids parents need to be blamed for this 12yr old girl giving birth. All I can say is the baby’s father should also known better then to have sex with his step sister. I call it rape. And how on earth didn’t the 12 yr old know she was pregnant. once your belly is bigger then the rest of the body you should know that you are pregnant plus the pushing around the baby does inside the womb when turning.

That is so sad. She is still a baby herself. I hope it wasn’t due to incest or rape and in any case, hope she is getting the help she needs.

Do hope this young lady wasn’t a victim of incest – it does still happen.

That’s sad. Someone has abused this little girl and needs to be arrested. I hope she and her baby are in a safer place now.

Wow this is really sad, she is a baby herself! Although I do know a girl who had a child at 13 and now she is 18 and has 5.. she seems to be doing a good job, but I still think it’s too young

I feel a bit sad for her .. she’s missing out on being a child herself

Aw, bless ! Glad this young mum and baby are being monitored. In some countries this is totally normal, but here it isn’t. But I don’t think it’s abnormal kids start to experiment with sex at this age. Actually it’s rather brave this young girl with the support with her family, continued the pregnancy.

Such a shock I am sure to be a mum at this age.

Some forms of protection even used correctly is not 100% foolproof.
Females (and possibly males) reach puberty a lot younger than we did a few years ago.
They are taught sex education in graphic details at a much younger age so naturally some are going to experiment without thinking of the possible consequences.
