Professional surfer Kelly Slater and his long-time partner Kalani Miller have revealed they are having their first child together.

The couple, who have been together since 2006, jointly shared the news on Instagram, with a beautiful black and white video set to the Ben Harper song The Three Of Us. The caption was simple a white heart.

The legendary surfer, 52, who has a 28-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, and his 36-year-old partner co-founded swimwear company MIKOH, with Kalani also an avid surfer.

In a 2019 interview Kalani she explained that the pair met at a trade show, when she and her sister were working for Roxy. She also said the couple both wanted children in the future.

“Hopefully one day, we’re both so busy right now. I’m from a family of four, he’s from a family of three. Now when I see people travelling with four kids, I can’t imagine my family or anyone doing that. It’s crazy. Maybe two. Two or three.”

Kalani also opened up about whether Kelly would be able to juggle still being a pro surfer with a baby.

“It would be interesting to see him try to balance both of those things and having to put his competitive nature aside for a second and put a baby first.”

Kelly is regarded as the greatest surfer of all time, with 56 Championship Tour victories.
