It was "Kidchella" for North West's first birthday party!

Seriously, could this get anymore over the top?

Imagine throwing your one year old a party that resembled one of the biggest music festivals in the world. If you are baby North West, then it’s all just another day in the park isn’t it.

The daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, North, turned one on the 15th June and O.M.G. was there a party to celebrate the occasion. It could quite possibly be the most extravagant 1st birthday party I have ever seen, complete with teepee’s, multiple stages for performers such as Jadan Smith, custom-made t-shits for guests and even a ferris wheel! I am planning my second bubba’s 1st birthday party at the moment and I am concerned at the level of expectation my guests might have after seeing images of “kidchella”….

“Kidchella” was a take on Cochella (a music festival in Indio, California) and was set up in Kourtney Kardashian’s backyard (ummmm have you seen the size of her backyard?!?). Guests came to the party dressed in bohemian outfits and Kim even posted a picture on Instagram of North’s outfit for the day.

It is over the top, the kid is only 1 year old and would not remember the party. A smaller scaled down version would be just as well received.

Sorry but this is way over the top. I think big parties for 1 year olds are usually more about the parents. At least Kim and Kanye seem to genuinely love each other – that’s one good thing as I’m not sure anyone else could love them as much as they love themselves.

no way would I do that sort of party for a 1 year old as they will not even remember it and it also sounds like it was more a party for adults not children. That was more than just a little over the top.

A party like that, for a child of 1, is an utter waste of money. The child will not remember the party, and it’s obviously done for the benefit of the adults. Goes to show that money doesn’t buy common sense. And yes, it’s their money, so they can do what they like with it, but I still think it’s an obscene waste, when the money could be used to help so many charities.

Totally…I’d totally do this. If ….WHEN I have the dosh to do this…I totally will. Aiming for birthday number 8. The plans are on the drawing board, I’ve got an invite list and a list of performers, staff and stalls I want. Now all I need is the backyard, the bucks and a few teepees. Bring on Kidchella I say!
