Just when it seems there’s nothing else the Kardashians could do to raise eyebrows, Kim Kardashian’s incredibly popular Skims brand has launched a bra with built in nipples. And it’s not a joke.

Dubbed the Ultimate Nipple Bra, it’s described as having the perfect ‘fullness, enhanced shape and authentic augmentation of the Ultimate Bra, now with built-in raised nipple detail for a perky, braless look that makes a bold statement’.

Kim launched the controversial collection with a tongue-in-cheek video:

Retailing for $62, the attention-grabbing garment has been both applauded and blasted after it was released.

“I am seriously at a loss for words. What is the draw for this look? Can someone explain?” wrote one Skims follower on social media.

“I’ve never expected Skims to be demure, but this is downright vulgar,” commented another.

“What?!! This is so strange! What’s next? Built in camel toe bottoms?”

However, the bras have also won praise from breast cancer survivors and those battling the disease.

“I have stage 4 breast cancer, mastectomy last May. Reconstruction in January, I can’t wait to buy one and have nipples again. Thank you,” commented philecia.

“I had my right breast removed due to cancer and now i have a implant which means i have no nipple. This bra would make me feel complete,” wrote another follower.

And for those who think Kim K has really missed the mark this time, the bras have already sold out.

  • Not a fan of this type of bra or Kim.

  • Great idea. It reminded me of an episode of Sex & the City when one of the ladies wore stick on rubber nipples. Men couldn’t keep their eyes off them.

  • They would be perfect for women who have had a mastectomy to make them feel more comfortable and for that I love them.

  • Not for me. Not sure who would buy this. Can’t imagine getting a trend.

  • Each to their own. My opinion not for me, and not a Kim K fan of her fashion choices.

  • Hilarious!! My nipples do this all by themselves so I wear bras to hide them. I don’t personally mind, but it’s very uncomfortable with people staring all the time

    • Lol, it seems the wearer’s of this bra like these stares and want to draw some attention to their boobies.

  • I’ve never been a Kardashian fan and this just enforces it .

  • Personally I’m not one to wear bra’s that show off the nipples, but hey if you want to then go ahead.

  • I wouldn’t wear it, but I’m-sure others will.

  • Interesting ???? I’m sure they will be a big hit.

  • Each to their own I guess but this is definitely not for me.

  • I was thrilled when I discovered padded bras to hide my nipples. Why would you want to show them off? Most women are embarrassed by ‘stiffles’

    • I suppose some women like to draw attention to their nipples ;)

    Reply

  • Isn’t the whole point that you’re wanting to hide your nipples?

    Reply

  • Lol, and what if your nipples are erected from example the cold, then you may show 4 nipples ;)

    • Your comment made me laugh! So true and such a good comment, why would you want to be in that possible situation.

      • Yes, that would be rather awkward :D

  • I have heard more than I want to about this bra. As a big-busted woman, this does not appeal to me at all. I try and minimise my breasts, not highlight them.

  • Does no one know that these were a staple in the 40s and 50s?

    Reply

  • No chance of ever wanting or buying this bra. Do not see the appeal of this bra. I like smooth lines in bras.

  • I don’t really want my nipples pointing out to the world, but I could see that some people would like them.

    Reply

  • Not for me!!!
A bit deceiving if someone thinks your nips are places where they are not and we all know that no two boobs are exactly the same.

  • for certain people, like people that had cancer etc, i can see why it would be amazing gift. you dont truely appreciate something until youve lost it or had someone that did. its not my cup of tea, but it would make so many happy!
