Community service announcement: You can make your own low carb chocolate donuts at home!

Check out the video for yourself and see how easy it is!

Ingredients:

For the donut:

  • 5 tbls butter melted
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/8 cup coconut milk
  • 5 tbls sweetner
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup almond meal
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tbls coconut flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

For the glaze:

  • 2 tbls butter
  • 2 tbls cream
  • 55 grams choc chips

  • I like the ingredients except for the choc chips in the glaze. I would use raw chic nibs or raw chocolate powder instead.

  • Good in theory, I’m almost sold. I do worry though about the sugar and salt content though. However sweetener has to be more benficial to sugar, so I’ll give them a try anyway.
