DIY photo props

What you’ll need:

  • cardboard
  • scissors or cutting knife and board
  • glue
  • long lollipop sticks or skewers

Method:

  1. Print out the FREE printables.
  2. Using scissors or a cutting board and knife cut out the shapes.
  3. Glue sticks on the side of the props. A hot glue gun will work best. Leave to dry.
  4. Your props are ready to use at your party.

We have some photo booth props which we’ve used at parties, and both kids and adults love them. You don’t even need a photo booth, just a camera and a hanging sheet for a background! I haven’t made my own but these are easy and I’m keen to give it a try for our next kid’s party.

  • My daughter in law is doing her own baby shoot. It costs 100s for a professional one and they’re not that great. She’s taken a couple of excellent ones so far (as much as time and a newborn will allow) and for a fraction of the price

  • Cute idea! I’ve seen them quite expensive in shops.

  • Great idea and so quick to do, the kids always like making things and then taking crazy photos of themselves

  • I bought a couple of packs of these type of props at heavily reduced prices over the holidays. The pack comes with all the bits, and you just need to make them up. They were a huge hit at my son’s recent 15th Birthday Party. We created a ‘Selfie Stop’ for guests at any time during the night to have some fun. We also included wigs and other accessories we had at home. It was very popular and funny.
