Matilda’s midfielder Katrina Gorry has announced that she and fiancée Clara Markstedt have welcomed a baby boy.
Katrina, who had her first child, two-year-old daughter Harper, via IVF in 2021, shared the happy news on Instagram, with some adorable photos, captioned, “Our sweet baby boy Koby Peter David Gorry. Born 9/6 at 10:36am, 3660g & 50cm. Big sister is absolutely in love and our hearts are so full.”
The couple revealed in November last year that they were adding to their family, sharing images of Haprer and their pooch for the pregnancy announcement.
The pair are former teammates, who both played for Swedish club Vittsjo GIK. Clara announced her retirement last year while thirty-one-year-old Katrina is heading to the Olympics with the Matildas in just six weeks.
Katrina took some time away from playing professional soccer after giving birth to Harper, but then returned to the Matildas in 2022. She starred on the field in the Matilda’s history-making World Cup run last year.
Clara and Katrina announced their engagement last year, with plans to marry in 2025.
