Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher welcomed their first child into the world last month.

And according to Woman’s Day, to celebrate the birth of daughter Wyatt Isabelle, Mila has designed a special piece of jewellery for Gemfields.

The 30-year-old actress is the official ambassador for the brand, and has collaborated with jewellery designer Marina B to create a ring that symbolises motherhood.

Worth $5400, the gold ring features an emerald green design, with Mila revealing in the brand’s latest campaign “Precious green emeralds are traditionally symbols of motherhood, wisdom and long-lasting love. But they are also a symbol for hope in many cultures.”

The proceeds from the sale of the ring will go towards the opening of the Gemfields Nkana Health Center in Zambia. “It’s one more tool to help them grow and thrive in the land around their Gemfield’s mines,” the actress explained.

Mila also opened up about motherhood, saying “Carrying a child and bringing new life into the world marks the start of an incredible journey.”

What did you do to celebrate the birth of your bub?

  • We celebrated with cheeseburgers because they didn’t feed us much at the hospital and we were starving so just a few hours old we brought our daughter to my in-laws for a feast of cheeseburgers, my favourite food.
I wish that I could afford this ring though because I bet it is beautiful and it sounds like it’s going to be helping people as well which is great.

    They are the gift themselves.

  • A wonderful gift for Zambia; access to health care is a basic human right. Well done Mila! We celebrated birth with feet and hand prints; so small and precious and treasured.
