  • Been through 3 pregnancies and luckily only experienced morning sickness severely during the last – probably being the sole reason why there were no more after this! I tried all the tips and remedies given to me but really found nothing that cured the problem nor really helped. It really was just a matter of time – about 5 months – before it settled itself and I was finally able to spend one day without throwing up!

  • I survived my extreme morning sickness with Maxolon tablets and regular trips to hospital to be rehydrated on the drip. Sometimes apples helped and when I would make lunch I would make two serves because one would always come back up. I was still vomiting on the operating table during birth. It was not pretty but the main point is I managed to get through it with the most adorable little girls at the end both times. The second time around my mother in law did most of the cooking for my family which was a life saver.

    • Oh my gosh, that sounds terrible! Glad you made it through it and are now seeing things in a positive light.

  • Although I was never able to stop the all day nausea, I did find going to bed early helped and besides, you can’t feel the nausea if you are asleep.

  • Morning sickness? I sometimes think a male came up with that because it is NOT morning sickness. The only thing that got me through all 3 of mine (morning sickness all day for the entire 9 months) was hospital trips and zofran.

  • I wondered why it was called morning sickness with my first child, it lasted all day and all night, it was terrible, the smell of food set me off with wretching and gagging. I tried ginger in all it’s forms, and natural travel sickness tablets, they helped a little, however, all was forgotten when I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.

  • Small bites often was key for me. Thankfully I was quite lucky and didn’t have severe sickness unlike my poor mum and sisters. Luck of the draw I suppose!

  • I had sever morning sickness with all my pregnancys and the last one the only thing that helped was acupuncture every week0 acupressure bands and constant medication. It is severely debilitating and very hard when others just think of it as ” morning sickness” A friend of mune recently had her last baby and had sever HG through out and lost over 20 kgs during her pregnancy. The nausea and vomiting only stopped three days arfter she gave birth- she was hospitalised throughout the pregnancy due to beign so sick. It can be serious so get help
