Move Over Turducken, ALDI's Launched A Quadrucken

If there’s one time of year to go all out, it’s Christmas. And ALDI has just gone bigger than ever, launching a monster four bird festive roast. Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the Quadrucken.

So by now most of us have heard of a Turducken – a deboned chicken stuffed into a deboned duck stuffed into a deboned turkey. Big meaty goodness right?

Well ALDI has taken it up a notch, releasing a Quadrucken – a roast combining 100% Australian chicken, turkey, duck and quail.

You’ll be able to find the Specially Selected Fresh Four Bird Roast in your local ALDI’s chiller section from 18 December. And to make it even more festive, it comes with a cranberry, apple and maple flavoured stuffing topped with decorative lattice bacon, all for $24.99/kg.

And if that’s not enough meatiness for Christmas lunch, ALDI also has aSpecially Selected Fresh Turhamken Roast ($19.99/kg) and Specially Selected Fresh Turducken Roast ($22.99/kg).

I tried the turducken when it came out a few years back and didn’t mind it for a new experience. But of course, that didn’t have bacon wrapped around it either. Not sure about this one, but would give it a go if I was feeding a few more people – on my own, I wouldn’t bother.

Having tried a turducken, and not enjoying the experience, I will not be trying this one. I enjoy all the roasted birds individually even quail, but not all rolled into one.

Wow I’ve never heard of the three meat roast let alone this before. Not sure I could stomach it to be honest so definitely won’t be for us.
