A Queensland mother has taken to Facebook to share the embarrassing story of sending her five-year-old daughter to school with a rather inappropriate lunchbox filler.

“EPIC lunchbox fail when you tell your five year old Preppie to put a frozen juice pouch in her lunchbox and you forget the other pouches in your freezer!” she wrote in a post that’s now gone viral.

It wasn’t until she’d received a phone call from the teacher that she even became aware of the mix up.  Her young daughter had headed off to school with a raspberry flavoured vodka sorbet.

“It made for a veeeery interesting phone call from the teacher!” she said.

“They were very good about it. I made light of it (it was obviously innocent on my daughter’s behalf). I apologised for not sending enough for the teachers and they just laughed thankfully.”

vodka fail

I think we have all been there, right?  In one way or another these little mistakes are a good reminder that we are all only human.

Have you got a similar embarrassing story to tell. We would love to hear it!

  • Wow I can’t relate no alcohol, smokes, or drugs here but im guilty as chocolate wise

  • Oops. I guess mum will be shifting her frozen ‘juice’ to a higher shelf now.

  • Oh dear ! yes, we all make mistakes.

  • Oh my! I had missed this story. There is no alcohol in our house so it would never happen. What if the teacher hadn’t seen and the child had drunk it???

  • i would never do something like this! poor kid though. this would have been embarrasing

  • Alcoholic drinks regardless of whether they are refrigerated or frozen should be in a locked off area. I know they are in SA, and Vic. have them locked off or via a different door off the footpath with a wall in between.

  • Definitely would have been an interesting and unexpected telephone conversation.

  • Lol, oh god love her… she probably meant to pack it in HER lunch box!! ????

  • hahaah that is hilarious, she best get rid of those asap! (into her belly that is, you know just so the mistake doesn’t happen again!)

  • Mistakes do happen,don’t they!

  • I’m not sure whether this is funny or worrying?
