Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Royal Baby will be here any day now (if it’s not already!) and our mums have some wise words to share to the first timers.

Aside from the usual pressures of becoming a new mother, Meghan will be facing the challenge of trying to keep her baby out of the media as much as possible.

Michelle Obama had some great advice to share.

In an interview with Good Housekeeping magazine, Michelle said: “Like me, Meghan probably never dreamt that she’d have a life like this, and the pressure you feel – from yourself and from others – can sometimes feel like a lot.

“So my biggest pieces of advice would be to take some time and don’t be in a hurry to do anything.

“I spent the first few months in the White House mainly worrying about my daughters, making sure they were off to a good start at school and making new friends before I launched into any more ambitious work.

“I think it’s okay – it’s good, even – to do that.

“What I’d say is that there’s so much opportunity to do good with a platform like that – and I think Meghan can maximise her impact for others, as well her own happiness, if she’s doing something that resonates with her personally.”

What advice would you give Prince Harry and Meghan?

  • Yep, leave them alone and let them sort it out themselves.

  • How about we just all leave her alone.. let her be…

  • Love Michelle Obama’s advice. Makes a lot of sense in their situation

  • I imagine Harry to be more protective because of how his mother died. It’s so confronting. So I don’t think he feels “the royals” owe the public so much from them.
It’s really people, paparazzi that owe them their requests for privacy, all of probably two days.
    Before photos and views.
    Enjoy the journey.

  • Enjoy every moment even the hard ones. They are all worth it.

  • It is amazing how fast the baby days are over and even childhood passes extremely quickly. Enjoy things while you can.

  • Just slow down enjoy the ride and do not let anyone get the better of you. Your child is only young once and you really need to enjoy this time.

  • The only thing I tell my friends is to listen to what others tell you, nod and smile and do it the way you planned, advice is given to offer choices not to dictate

  • Be true to the vision you have for raising your child and don’t forget the most powerful word when dealing with the Royal family NO!

  • I am sure Meghan and Harry have had experience with other peoples’ babies to some extent.
No 2 babies are the same. They respond to different types of care.

  • they will do it their way and be fine

  • Those tiny experts are the best :) !!

  • Gosh they will be just fine! Just like the rest of us who figured it out along the way

  • Do things your way and trust your instincts.

  • Love Michelle Obama! Take your time being a mum, dont let other people influence your motherhood journey
