Neil Patrick Harris loses bet to his 4 year old daughter

The Oscar nominations have been announced and it seems Neil Patrick Harris was taken by surprise! The host of the upcoming Academy Awards ceremony jokingly gave his 4 year old, Harper, $20 after the announcements had been made appearing to have lost a bet with her.

In the video that he posted on Twitter he says “The Oscar nominations have come out and that could only mean one thing, I just lost $20, here you go Harper. I had my money on you Sven Yorgen Finster for best credit design of a foreign language film!”

The gorgeous 4 year old cheekily says “thank you” with a big grin on her face.

Neil is set to host the 2015 Academy Awards this year, after previous host Ellen DeGeneres turned it down, and if he gets the call up in the future to host the Grammys then he will be the first person to host all four major award nights. Neil has hosted the Tonys and the Emmys in the past, so all that remains left to host is the Grammys.

The new Oscar commercial came out yesterday featuring the ‘How I Met Your Mother’ star:

We are excited to watch this years Oscars with Neil as the host, it’s sure to be a fun one!

NPH has such a fantastic personality. He will be a popular Oscar host. I wonder what his hosting style will be: satire? Funny-ha ha? Or biting? I wonder what Harper will spend the 20 on.

Not sure what it is about this actor, but I really like him, he seems to have a nice disposition and can lend his hand to many acting roles.

I love how Neil Patrick Harris shares his family with us, he is always posting things about their day to day life, I hope that the paparazzi do not hassle him as he is obviously very generous with his privacy and accepting that it is part of his job, oh and his children are lovely and obviously well loved and cared for.
