  • Not the toys I expected when I read “nuture”

  • Hmmm. I agree with Ellen. Not sure why these toys are called “nurture toys”. I typically do not like buying licenced (or not) plasticky kind of toys for my kids. I find they’re always tossed to the side after a day or 2 when the novelty wears off. Do you know what they will always go back to? Wooden blocks, rainbows, trucks and the like. They might cost more, but I’d say they definitely are more worth it when you look at the cost vs how often they’ll get played/how long it’ll last.

  • Why are toys so expensive these days. My daughter had a care bear she carried around would not let it go anywhere

  • Wonder why these toys are called nurture toys ? I thought nurture means to care for and protect ?
Anyway I think kids can learn from any toy, whether it’s imagination, gross and fine motor, role play, turn taking, sharing or caring or even life skills such as tidy them up :)

    • I have to admit my kids don’t have such trendy toys. My youngest plays the most with old fashioned wooden blocks, cars and cups or outside on the swing set or trampoline

  • My toddler is obsessed with love Diana!
We recently got a Thomas the tank engine set for our little boy which he loves to watch go around and a few learning ones like my first cube and mobile phone which his sister likes to steal!

  • I don’t know how I feel about ‘love Diana’. Are her parents exploiting her? The toys look lit but I’ve heard too many negatives about her brand to sweep under the rug.

  • Not sure all these are ‘nurture’ toys. But I do love toys that allow kids to learn and explore nurturing and caring. Life skills they need and develop their emotional side.

  • I don’t get how half of these are ‘nurture’

    • Yeah I don’t think nurture is really the best word for these toys!

  • I think my kids would like that super hero kit.
