I have been guilty as the Aunty providing noisy toys.

My children formed a band in their younger days, so when the grandchildren came along I bought them a xylophone.

I wish people would refrain from using the ‘f’ word, it is so disgusting to have to read these words that make it not funny.
The title one makes me laugh because I gave my son a harmonica when he was only one, he played it in his car seat, kept him happy and busy, I just turned up the music in the car and he learned to get an ear for music. Now a teenager, he taught himself to play keyboard, he uses head phones and then surprises me when he has learned a new tune.

In my house it’s I’ll play barbies non stop for the week leading up to xmas, but on Xmas day when I get 2 new barbies and a heap of barbie furniture plus other toys etc I’m gonna wanna play with my baby brothers toys and then complain if he looks at mine!

Definitely not cool to buy noisy toys for someone else’s child.

My mum got my son a recorder a couple of years ago. I made her keep it at her house.

One of my neighbour’s son asked for a drum as one of the presents he wanted from Santa.
His Uncle decided he would buy him not just a drum but a full size drum kit. It had to sit in front of the sitting room window because it was a house that had small rooms…….and 3 children

I totally agree that no musical instruments should be purchased.

I always get a giggle out of memes and there’s been alot on here today! I’ve been laughing out loud all day !

So funny and so true. Actually my mother in law bought our daughter a recorder for Christmas when she was 2….. That was not funny.

  Kids love to play recorders too because they produce an immediate sound and are easy to play.
