Parents are outraged after a man dressed as Santa Claus burst into a children’s music event and started swearing.

The man, who was undergoing Santa duties in another part of the building, stormed the family event in Cambridge, England, on Sunday when a fire alarm went off and urged everyone to evacuate the building.

“People were in the process of vacating the building and in came angry Santa swearing, using the most vile language, ripping off his hat and beard with steam literally coming from his ears,” one mother told Cambridgeshire Live.

He was yelling at people to get the f#@k out!

The fire alarm had been set off by a smoke machine at the family event, the mother said.

Another parent was so horrified by Santa’s foul-mouthed intrusion that he took to the organiser’s Facebook page to complain.

In a statement to Yahoo Lifestyle, Festival Events defended his frantic outburst.

“Santa was upstairs in his grotto, an event organised by Festival Events St. Ives (a voluntary organisation) and immediately assisted in the evacuation of the building,” the statement reads.

“FESt wish to apologise for any offence or distress caused to parents and children by the attempts to ensure all visitors and staff had exited the building and were safe.”

Bad Santa!

  • Fair enough to warn people to get out because of the fire alarm ringing, but to remove costume is bad taste. If there had been a fire it may have protected him. I’m guessing the foul mouth was pretty bad. A lot of parents wouldn’t notice it otherwise.

  • I can’t stand swearing but it was a fire situation, and maybe that specific Santa wasn’t able to control his words at the time.

    • A fire situation impacts on different differently for sure! The intention was to get people out.

  • Not sure why Santa would be able swearing to me people go faster but I guess he isn’t the real Santa.

  • Whoops. Although if it turned out it was a real emergency and his actions saves lives I doubt I’d care about the swearing.
