Here is a Mother’s Day craft that not only easy for the kids to make, it looks fantastic and Mums and Grandmothers would love to receive one this Mother’s Day.

What you’ll need:

  • egg carton
  • paint
  • cardboard
  • glue gun
  • scissors
  • photo

Method:

  1. Cut two egg carton cups into flower shapes.
  2. Paint them white and leave to dry.
  3. Paint them in your chosen flower colours.
  4. Cut a frame out of thin cardboard, measuring and cutting a spot for your photo.
  5. Paint the frame white and leave to dry.
  6. Paint the frame a colour if you wish.
  7. Stick your photo to the frame.
  8. Glue your flowers onto the frame using the glue gun.
  9. Paint leaves on frame beside flowers if you wish.
  10. Give as a gift to Mum or Grandma.

I really love these, so simple but they look great. I know some grandmothers who will be getting these for Mother’s Day.

  • Why do the mums always get the photo frames with the flowers? What about making robot photo frames, or alien photo frames or monsters? You could easily do this with the egg cartons, too. And a photo frame by itself means nothing to me unless you put a photo in it as well. The thought needs to be present in a thoughtful present and a photo frame by itself is a ring in. Would you make Dad a floral photo frame without a photo?
