Piers Morgan has angered dads on Twitter by claiming Daniel Craig has been emasculated by carrying his one-month-old daughter in a sling.

The James Bond star was spotted on a solo outing in New York on Sunday with his newborn with wife Rachel Weisz, but Piers was unimpressed, tweeting: ‘Oh 007.. not you as well?!!! #papoose #emasculatedBond.’

Twitter users were not impressed and bombarded the Good Morning Britain host with images of fathers happily baby wearing, shares Daily Mail. Even Captain America star Chris Evans weighed in, tweeting: ‘You really have to be so uncertain of your own masculinity to concern yourself with how another man carries his child. ‘Any man who wastes time quantifying masculinity is terrified on the inside.’ Piers later clarified: ‘There’s nothing wrong in carrying or caring for your child. I did it with all four of mine. My ire is directed solely at the papoose. ‘Wearing a papoose doesn’t mean you “care” more about your kids.’ Dads were not the slightest bit impressed!

  • Can’t say I’ve even heard of this Piers Morgan before this. I guess this is his opinion, which I don’t agree with, maybe he is just attention seeking

  • Piers Morgan? Stick him on the ignore list and move on. The only way he knows how to get attention is to bitch and say controversial things.

  • I love these guys a lot more now. None of them are afraid of showing their loving side.

  • I just love the push back from Dads. Go Dads!! Is Piers Morgan even still relevant??

  • Mystifying. Why is carrying your baby in a sling worse than just carrying them? It’s actually very practical.

  • Sounds like clickbait and a shallow “journo” who had a slow week. Honestly, I’d be embarrassed to hand that in for my work.

  • Think it is great Dads are doing things with their offspring. Bonding early is very important and carring and as they get older playng with them is brilliant and male critics need to look at themselves as think they have te problem still living in dark ages.

  • Ah poor Piers Morgan. Emasculated by the idea of baby wearing. If hubby or myself were to hold our baby like he posed, not only would our arms and back fatigue quickly, we would never get anything done. Doesn’t matter if you’re a mum or dad baby wearing, you are stepping up to do what is needed for your baby.

  • Has Piers run out of real issues to talk about?

  • Really? He is the father of the child. No one would bat an eyelid if it was the mother!! Piers Morgan is a moron!

  • Why would a man be emasculated by carrying or play with his child ?

  • Seriously? Who is Piers Morgan? And why doesn’t he have anyghing better to do than sook about how a dad carries his kid around?

  • In one of the photos the guy carrying the baby could have him/her any further from his body without dropping him/her.
Some others may need to make sure the baby isn’t smothered by the clothing the adult is wearing. It’s hard to tell from the photos.
