Baby Ultrasound nails are the new in thing!

UK nail artist Sarah Clarke cleverly creates these cute baby ultrasound picture acrylic nails.

Sarah told PRETTY52 that it’s a delicate and manual process, with each nail painstakingly hand-painted to achieve the look.

“I created that nail with firstly applying the acrylic nail and painted the picture by copying her scan picture using paint and a fine brush,” Sarah explained.

“It has proven to be very popular with existing clients and people from all over requesting it also. I have now got quite a few people booked in for these, including a few people who have lost their babies.”

It appears she is not alone with these amazing creations. Some others that have been shared on social media below.

???? @lightelegancehq A post shared by Alingsås mysigaste salong! (@naglaralingsas) on

  • Couldn’t imagine anything worse on my nails, I don’t even use nail polish – keep them natural even if they are long.

  • I don’t like fake nails. I have had them in the past and they damaged my actual nails, taking years to repair. I also felt I couldn’t clean under them properly and I don’t understand how people have these long nails with babies or children. Their skin is paper thin and can end up cut easily. (My child moved towards me as I reached out for her and my (short) nail made contact with her skin and it hurt her.

  • No thanks. Lots of money for something that’s only temporary! I’ll be happy to have the print out or the disc for my copies

  • Very creative, but personally wouldn’t do it either because of bad chemicals (not only for those who’re pregnant) and rather have a photo too.

  • No to that. I agree with the previous comment – there’s just so much toxic crap in most nail polishes these days. Why expose your baby to it unnecessarily?

  • One thing I would never do. Adding chemicals unnecessarily is stupid, even more so during pregnancy.

  • That looks amazing, but I doubt I’d ever shell out the money to get it done. Come and see the real picture on my refrigerator!
