ACCC have issued a recall for Mabel Bear — Deer Shaped Silicone Teether due to possible choking hazard concerns.

The product is a Silicone baby teething ring in the shape of a deer.

What are the defects?
The teethers are smaller than the permitted dimensions specified in the mandatory standard ‘Consumer Protection Notice No. 14 of 2003 — Consumer Product Safety Standard: Toys for children up to and including 36 months of age’.

What are the hazards?
The product may get lodged in an infant’s throat and pose a choking or suffocation hazard.

What should consumers do?
Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact the seller to receive a full refund.
Consumers can contact the seller via the eBay store in which the purchase was made.
