Ingredients

  • 500 gm beef chuck steak
  • 1/2 large white onion (sliced in rings)
  • cracked black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 large lemon
  • 1 Tbsp oil

Method

  1. In a skillet, boil the beef in 12 cup water together with oil and soy sauce
  2. Heat in medium, sprinkle with black pepper and let it simmer until the sauce thickens.
  3. Add in the onions and squeeze on some lemon.
  4. Flip the beef side to side,cover and simmer for 2 minutes.

  • This looks so yummy. Some days you just really need a good steak and onions really add that bit of extra flavour to the meat. This would be an amazing wintery meal with some mashed potatoes and some green vegetables or even with chips and salad for a more summery meal. Yummm 🙂
