This Chocolate Smoothie Bowl recipe from KOJA is a great way to spoil your mum this Mother’s Day.
Whip up a chocolate smoothie bowl and give her a delicious and nutritious breakfast in bed!
We love that this chocolate smoothie bowl not only looks amazing but is filled with nutritious ingredients and piles of fresh fruit. We think that’s got to beat a soggy piece of toast and a cup of tea any day!
When you make Mum her chocolate smoothie bowl, feel free to use this recipe as a base but then switch it up a little so it’s exactly the way she likes it. If she doesn’t banana, add more berries. If she doesn’t like berries, add some toasted coconut flakes.
You can also have a little fun when you serve your version of a chocolate smoothie bowl – use a lovely tall glass and layer the smoothie and fruit. Or find a lovely bowl that feels lovely to hold and use this to serve.
If you have any edible flowers in the garden, grab a couple of these and sprinkle on top. If not, pick a little bunch of flowers and add them to Mum’s breakfast tray.
Whatever you do, Mum is going to love you for thinking of her.
Ingredients (serves 1 | makes 1 Smoothie bowl)
- 1 cup Almond milk
- 1/2 cup Frozen berries
- 1 tbsp Cacao powder
- 1/2 Banana fresh or frozen
- 1 KOJA Natural Peanut Butter Bar in Chocolate
- Place all the ingredients in a blender and mix to your desired consistency.
- Pour mixture into a bowl and top with your favourite fresh fruit, nuts and some more KOJA bar (if you haven't already blended it all in!).
