A sweet cordial and quick refreshing drink.

Ingredients (serves 20)

  • 4 cups sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 8 large mandarins (juice only)
  • 1 lemon (juice only)

Method

  1. Heat water and add sugar. Stir until dissolved.
  2. Add the juice, stir. Remove from heat and cool.
  3. Pour into sterilised bottles. Dilute to serve.

Notes

This cordial will keep in the fridge for around a month. Dilute with soda water or lemonade. A great way to use up mandarins if you have a tree.

  • might try it with alittle less sugar, hopefully it still tastes as good.

    • Yes, I was thinking the same. I love mandarins and if they are sweet enough it should be ok with less.
