Halloween doesn’t just have to be for the kids! Leading dietitian Susie Burrell has created this spiced smoothie for the big kids to help get into the spooky spirit while decorating the house with the kids.

Ingredients (serves 1 | makes 1 Gingerbread Smoothie)

  • 1 small banana, frozen
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1 tbsp Mayver's Skin On Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger, ground
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Ice for blending

Method

  1. Put all ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into a tall glass and dust with cinnamon for serving.
  3. Enjoy!

  • My MM cannot have bananas or peanuts, so I have substituted an egg with the rest of these ingredients. Works a treat and is a lovely surprise for someone on such a strict diet. Thanks for your recipe.
