Gooey, fudgy with a delectable crunch, this brownie recipe packs a punch. But that’s not all – it’s also high protein!

  • That is a lovely recipe, my daughter (who’s aiming to eat a high protein diet) would be very interested in that. In the method point 3 it says “In a mixing bowl mash bananas and add cacao powder, protein and melted peanut butter,” however in the list of ingredients there is no mentioning of protein (powder) ?

  • I’ve been looking for some yummy recipes to add to the snack arsenal. Will definitely be making this!

  • This looks so amazing! I have never heard of using bananas in brownies, but it really makes sense. I love that this is a natural hit of protein, not using powder. If I used regular cocoa powder, they are ingredients I would have readily in the pantry. They look so decadent!

  • Wow, no flour!!!
I’m interested to see how these taste and the kind of texture they would have.

  • These look sòoooo good. Definitely on my to make list. I’ve been looking for some new, healthy treats that are high in protein but still taste delicious and these look like they’d be perfect. You could easily swap out the nuts or add dried fruit fir different flavour combos as well.

  • I really do love to cook brownies for family and friends. Brownies are always such a welcome and delicious treat. Including bananas in this brownie recipe is indeed very interesting and the flavour combination is quite intriguing. I do love walnuts and would be very generous with adding them to the mix.

    • This scrumptious looking brownie looks so very moist in the photos and would be so delicious served with yummy vanilla bean ice cream. I do love to eat warm brownies that are served with big and generous scoops of ice cream; the perfect combination of warm gooey chocolate and cool and creamy ice cream.

  • Interesting recipe ! My daughter would be interested given that it’s high in protein.
I wonder if you’re missing a word and or maybe an ingredient in the list of ingredients. At pont 3 it says: “In a mixing bowl mash bananas and add cacao powder, protein and melted peanut butter”.
Did you mean protein powder ?? how much ??

  • I would love to hear a review on these brownies. They look moreish and moist, but I absolutely cannot stand the taste of bananas. I wonder if the peanut butter, cocoa powder and chocolate are stronger flavours or if the banana sneaks on through. Maybe a shot of espresso or coffee powder added would help hide it more.
