Great cheap, quick & easy dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1kg Sausages, boiled, skin removed, chopped
  • 1 Onion diced
  • 1 stalk Celery diced
  • 1 Carrot grated
  • 1 pkt French onion soup mix
  • 1 jar Bolognaise sauce
  • 1 cup Water
  • 5 Potatoes
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Shredded cheese
  • 1 tsp Olive oil

Method

  1. Heat oil, fry onion celery and carrot until softened. Add sausages, soup mix, Bolognaise and water. Stir. Reduce to a simmer for 5 mins. Transfer to casserole dish.
  2. Boil potatoes, drain, mash in butter, stir through cheese. Spread on top of casserole.
  3. Bake 180* for 30 mins until golden on top.

Notes

Great served with bread.

  • Yummo, so easy and full of flavour. I love that you use veryday ingredients that most of us would have in the fridge or pantry. I’d love to substitute some of the potato for sweet potato and pumpkin, and I’d crush some potato chips and sprinkle over the top. Great filling meal for a cold Winter’s night.
