Mums we’re so excited to bring you the WaterWipes review!

As parents, it’s quite easy to get overwhelmed when shopping for baby wipes (or in fairness anything baby related). There are so many options to choose from, and you want to make sure you’re choosing what’s best and what’s safest for your bub.

  • Lovely wipes

    At first i was worried they would be too wet. But they are really fabulous to use. Nice and strong and great moisture. You feel good knowing that they are safe for a newborn with no harmful scents or chemicals etc. I wish they were a little cheaper, but in this case you are paying for a quality product.

  • Love them!

    On our first visit to our local health care nurse she noted my little Bub had some skin sensitivity. She recommended the WaterWipes as the best wipe to use and doesn’t recommend anything else. Free from harsh chemicals and so soft but effective cleanser. My baby’s skin is looking great and at 8 months have had no issues with skin rash since. Love this product so much.

  • Hands down the best wipes

    As a neonatal nurse, we only use water wipes as they are so gentle on babies delicate skin and clean easier than anything else. I now use these wipes at home on my son as I know they are the very best. They are a little more expensive than others, but if you have a baby with sensitive skin, they are definitely worth the extra expense as they do not irritate the skin at all and I also often stock up when they are on special

  • Take them with you every where, not just for babies.

    We find them so handy in the car when traveling. Quick clean ups of spills, wiping hands and faces after meals or snacks. Wiping down dirty hands after exploring.

    Cooling off hot faces and necks after being in the sun, especially if you keep them in the esky. Traveling with dogs great for quick clean ups. The wipes are strong enough to take on any task. Not just for babies.

  • Gentle and effective.

    My baby and myself have super sensitive skin. I get excema on my fingers so using other brand wipes on my baby can irrahtate my fingers. These wipes are so gentle there is no issue with my skin or babies. They work so well while being soft on babies delicate skin. These are the only wipes I will ever use! I always have a pack with me.

  • Best baby wipes ever!!!

    Can’t fault these baby wipes... iv tried every brand and these by far are my favourite!! They are so easy to use and come out one at a time instead of in a whole clump like some other brands iv used. These wipes are also so gentle and great on my babies bum when she’s teething and her bums a bit raw, no stinging or irritation caused from them what so ever! My son has super sensitive skin and these are great to use on him when he needs his face or hands wiped. Super happy with this product and will definitely be buying from now on.

    We recently tried Water wipes & all I can say is.. why have I not brought these before! I use to buy the cheap coles or Woolworths brands & they did the job (if you like using 60 wipes for one nappy change) but we found the water wipes to be so wet that you actually only need to use 2 or 3 wipes for one change (depending on mess) but being so wet meant having a cleaner nappy change overall! Also the added benefit of not putting chemicals onto my babies skin is a huge plus! Would recommend to anyone and we now buy the water wipes in bulk!!

  • Perfect for all little butts!

    These are great! Very gentle and just the right amount of moisture to wipe and effortlessly clean without leaving any leftover 'residue'. They suit those with sensitive skin, new butts, old butts and they also clean your mirrors good too

  • Great

    It was such a great product that I have now moved to these wipes as our regular packet. They don’t have that. Chemical smell and is gentle on the skin. It’s really good for children with sensitive skin and are easy to use to clean up those messy pre schoolers. I highly recommend this product if you want something that doesn’t have nasty chemicals

  • Very Moist but Expensive

    I find water wipes to be very expensive, I would only ever buy them if they are on sale. I did but 5 packets a couple of months ago when they were on sale for $2.00 each but haven't seen them on since and normally costs about $6.00.

    They are very moist, wet but I found that because they are wet they left my baby's bottom wet too and had to use either another wipe or a towel to dry her bottom. It is a good feeling when you are using the purest baby wipes in the world but at the same time it does come with a price tag and sometimes it doesn't fit my budget.

    I think they are good quality and I do trust WaterWipes brand and they would be amazing for eczema and other related sensitive skin issues which my daughter sometimes has.

    If the price wasn't so expensive I would be buying this over and over again.

  • Love these wipes - no smell, very gentle, tough wipes

    I love these wipes - they are tough (so they don't break apart easily), no funky smells, natural and pure and good for all types of skin. It's also very gentle on baby skin. I love the fact that it has no hidden chemicals and does not irritate already sensitive or red skin. It's also the right moisture level - not too wet and sloppy, and not too dry.

    Only downfall is the cost. It's so expensive. I would only use this on babies, not like the other cheaper varieties that I would happily use to wipe the floor and table with!

  • Beautiful on the skin

    I love water wipes, they are so gentle on the skin and clean well. I do not purchase these Everytime though because I find they are to expensive. I trust this brand and have had no issues though. I have always found that it is readily available in all shops I have looked for this in. That includes large shops and most chemists.

    Such a great natural baby wipe! Cleans baby so easily, doesn't smell of perfume or chemicals. The price is reasonable too and its widly available in supermarkets. This is a quality product which I always recommend to other mums. I only wish it was around when I had my first baby.

  • Premm Baby

    I had my son 10 weeks earlier then expected and spent several weeks in the NICU ward. In the ward they use water wipes and explained that it’s because they are so gentle and natural. Since coming home from the hospital we still use these and they are the best.

    Great for sensitive skin. Can be used for precious and delicate baby skin or even mums and dads or even sisters or brothers can use them for for there sensitive skin on hands and faces. Water based products are always a good natural choice.

    My baby has very sensitive skin and when i say sensitive she will break out in sore rashes but not with these wipes, they cleaned her effortlessly and didn't have her break out in any rashes, they are my new go to wipes, i also used them as a refresher after a long day at work and haven't had time to shower untill all the kids were in bed. I highly recommend these wipes to everyone who has young children

  • Great for slightly older kids too

    I have used these on my own account (not as part of a review), and I have been really satisfied with them. They clean well, and are a good thickness. I like that the ingredients are so simple and safe. We use them for a lot of clean up jobs – my kids are out of nappies – and I recommend them for safe kid use as well.

  • Great wipes for sensitive skin!

    I love Water wipes as my bub has sensitive skin and this does not irritate her at all. They are also moist enough to wipe a messy poo effectively. I love that there is no added unnecessary nasties or gimmicks.

  • Not for me and my baby.

    These Water Wipes are nice and cool to use, but unfortunately after one packet of use, a nappy rash started to form, due to the extra moisture from the wipes. I even use baby powder. The wipes are extremely wet, and hard to get out of the packet easily. The are not designed to come out if the packet toegther, but one by one. With the wipes being so wet, they're all stuck inside the packet, and when in need of a quick wipe, I found myself struggling to to peel the wipe out of the packet. It frustrated me every nappy change. I will not be buying these again!

  • Great wipes!

    I really liked these wipes. They have no fragrance which is nice as some are so overwhelming. They are very wet, which helped ensure baby was clean every time. I will definitely purchase these and continue using. My baby also gets nappy rashes which he did not seem to get with the Water Wipes.

  • Would definitely recommend, super soft and easy to use

    I absolutely love these wipes! They are super soft and I love the fact that they are so easy to take out of the pack, something I previously struggled with other wipes. I feel comfortable knowing that they are safe to use for both my toddler and newborn alike.

Mum-of-two Rebecca McCracken has spent the last four years reading ingredient lists on pretty much everything she buys at the supermarket.

Like many parents raising kids with food allergies, a quick trip to the supermarket often means checking labels, comparing products and hoping to find something the whole family can eat.

Bec’s four-year-old son and 17-month-old daughter were both born with cow’s milk protein allergy. While her son has since outgrown his allergies, her toddler still reacts to dairy, making even everyday staples like bread a challenge.

“Unless we buy expensive sourdough for seven or eight dollars, we don’t really have a choice.”

Even then, it’s not ideal.

“A kid doesn’t want to eat a sourdough sandwich,” Bec laughs. “And fairy bread on sourdough is not great.”

A New Loaf On The Block

Bec runs an online community for allergy families, so she spends plenty of time sharing recipes, product finds and supermarket discoveries with other parents.

It was one of those parents who first told her about new JUST bread.

“A follower messaged me and said, ‘Oh my gosh, this bread is coming soon.’ I was like, ‘Where? When? I need to know. I’m getting my car keys and running!'”

Made with baker’s flour, water, yeast, vinegar, oil and salt, JUST bread contains no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours.

For Bec, it sounded almost too good to be true. “When we saw JUST bread, I was like, ‘You’re joking.’ A bread that’s fresh baked but in the bread aisle? That’s unheard of for us.”

“It was really exciting for our family and for the allergy community.”

The Family’s Toughest Critic Approved

Of course, there was one person whose opinion mattered more than anyone else’s.

“My toughest critic is my daughter. She is so fussy. We know something is really good if she approves it, and she approves it. She loves it. She’ll eat it plain, toasted, as French toast … whatever. She loves it.”

Bec says she was impressed too.

“I like it. I like that it’s only got minimal ingredients and doesn’t have the additives and preservatives that are in a lot of other brands.”

A Simpler Option For Everyday Families

Bec tried out JUST bread because of her family’s allergies, but she says it has a broader appeal.

“I think everyone is becoming more conscious of additives and preservatives in their food.”

It’s a feeling many of us can probably relate to. We don’t all want to overhaul the way we eat, but plenty of us are paying a little more attention to ingredient lists and looking for products that keep things simple.

Bread is one of those foods that’s always around. It ends up in lunchboxes, on the breakfast table, alongside soup on a cold night and covered in hundreds and thousands at birthday parties. When we eat something that often, it’s only natural to wonder what’s in it.

JUST bread keeps things simple with a handful of pantry ingredients and no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours. It’s the sort of loaf that fits easily into busy family life without asking us to compromise on taste or convenience.

Little Changes, Big Difference

 

For Bec, finding a loaf of bread her whole family can enjoy is about more than ticking another item off the shopping list.

“It seems like such a little thing to the normal community, but for us this is a massive win.”

Being able to make sandwiches without worrying about ingredients. Packing lunchboxes a little more easily. Bringing back fairy bread for birthdays. Sometimes it’s the little things that make family life feel a whole lot simpler.

And while Bec found JUST bread because she needed another allergy-friendly option, its simple ingredient list is likely to appeal to plenty of other families too. After all, when we can choose everyday foods made with ingredients we recognise, that’s a pretty good place to start.

I have noticed that there are starting to be more ‘cleaner’ products in the supermarket, meaning consumers are being heard. We are going full circle back to how foods use to be produced before companies got greedy and started taking shortcuts to producing food items. I hope we continue seeing more preservative and additive free options that are affordable come back in the supermarkets.

  • Grabbing your car keys and running for a bread ?? I can’t imagine doing so for a bread lol ! It’s nice to see that more and more allergy friendly products are being produced and put on the market.
    I don’t agree with the statement that “A kid doesn’t want to eat a sourdough sandwich”. It depends on what type of bread you introduce to your kids. My kids grew up with 7 seeds, rustic bread and sourdough and they love it. It’s also quite easy and cheap to make sourdough bread yourself.

  • I haven’t seen this bread in the supermarket but will be looking for it now. I have been trying to avoid preservatives and additives for some time now and as highlighted in the article bread it difficult to find, or super expensive, without them so I don’t have it often.

  • This is fantastic, finally a bread that is not full of nasty stuff. I will be going straight out to buy this. My son has ARFID and will only eat white bread, but it’s not terribly healthy. With this bread, at least I know that it is much healthier than the alternatives. Woohoo

  • I cant wait to give this bread a go (so far its always been sold out at my local woolies so it must be good). So good its suitable for those with allergies too. I think nowadays were all looking for cleaner options of ingredients in our foods so this is a step in the right direction.

  • I am glad more and more allergy friendly products are being produced and offered. I don’t agree with Bec’s statement that kids don’t like sourdough bread. My kids were introduced to sourdough and the most rustic and seeded breads from the time they started to eat bread, and they love it

  • Oh I cannot wait to try this bread! We go through that much bread each week and I always feel so guilty with how much my kids have – not anymore! Would love to see them introduce other variants in the future – multigrain and gluten free would be superb!

  • This is such a great product that I’m looking forward to trying! I’ve only been buying bread from bakeries the last few years because grocery store bread texture was so dense and unpleasant. But the hassle with bakery bread is I can’t get it everywhere! I’ll be really keen to give this a go
