Sofia Richie Grainge, the daughter of Lionel Richie, has revealed she’s pregnant. And she’s already shared a gender reveal!

The 25-year-old model announced that she and husband Elliot Grainge are expecting their first baby, a little girl, showing off her baby bump in a Vogue magazine photo shoot.

And the couple has also shared their baby’s gender reveal – a backyard coloured cannon that showered the pair with pink confetti!

“I found out very, very early,” Sofia told Vogue. “I was about four weeks pregnant. I was on a trip to Milan for fashion week, and I was going to the Prada show. I was doing a really quick 24-hour turnaround, and I felt terrible but didn’t think much of it. I thought it was jet lag.”

She says when she returned to LA, she wanted to be certain, before heading to an Ed Sheeran concert.

“I kind of knew it was going to be a boozy night, and I was a few days late on my period, and I wanted to be generally safe, so I took a test.”

Sofia revealed that she and her husband had been trying for a baby since their wedding in April last year, and Elliot was thrilled when she shared the news with him. But as the couple had previously taken tests which had raised their hopes, they wanted to be sure.

“He was so excited. We spoke the whole way on the phone. And when he came home, he’s such a sweet guy he always wants to protect my emotions and expectations, so he kind of sat me down and said, ‘If these are negative, don’t be upset. Our moment will come.”

The couple waiting until Sofia was eight weeks pregnant before sharing the news with their parents.
