Hello!

A little while ago, I wrote a story about changing careers and becoming an austswim accredited swim teacher.
I have since been training to teach baby and toddlers to swim, and today I passed my assessment.

I now have two weekly shifts teaching swimming next term, which is not much but it’s a start. I’m so excited and I can’t wait to make a positive difference in children’s lives.

Thank you for reading my story

  • Mum 4107, I hope you are still enjoying teaching swimming.
Sometimes disabled children do very well with swimming and learn to communicate well with the teacher before making progress with their parents and others

  • I hope you are still enjoying your new career. I’m a swim instructor although only casual now as I also work full time and it is such a rewarding job – although at times that water is the last place you want to be the children make you smile
