Tara Brown and the 60 Minutes crew have officially been charged in Lebanon following a child recovery mission that didn’t go to plan.

The Sydney Morning Herald are stating that 4 charges have been laid, one of which relates to kidnapping.

At this point in time there is no news as to if the mother attempting to recover her children, Sally Faulkner, has had any charges laid against her.

Tara Brown was working on a mission to recover Brisbane mum Sally Faulkner’s children from their father, Ali Elamine, when the operation in Beirut went astray and has since become a diplomatic incident.

Mr Elamine had allegedly travelled with the children to Lebanon, with the permission of Ms Faulkner, though has failed to return to Australia since. We will bring you more to this story as it comes to light.

  • All I can think of is these poor children unable to have consistent and quality contact with their mum. I hope the parents can work out an agreeable arrangement that benefits the children.

  • This is terrible! Was that the reason why they went to Lebanon?
Everything looks so complicated. The father of the kids kidnapped the kids. Can’t the Australian Government do something about it?

  • If 60 minutes really paid for the abductuon attempt and were in in this this its going to be hard to avoid prosecution.

    • Complicated and messy and very different laws.

  • The media attracted attention to themselves by having micophones, cameras etc. It probably hindered the chances of the Mum getting her children back.
