It’s no secret that looking after your skin is important, especially when you want to avoid those lines and ‘creases’ that tend to show up, uninvited, once kids come along!

With so much of our time taken up running after our kids, we’re often left with little time to spend on our skin, if any.

The luxury of a dedicated regime isn’t a reality for so many of us, so it’s important that we get the most out of the products and attention we choose to spend on skincare – and that’s where some secrets still lie.

One of these secrets is set to be revealed in a big way at The High Tea Party, and it’s all to do with oils.

Recently, the trend of oils has become the go-to solution for everything, from cooking to hair care, and our love of good oils doesn’t seem to be ending any time soon. But when it comes to all the oils on the market, it’s easy to be overwhelmed when it comes to making the right choice for your skin.

One of the lesser known oils, jojoba oil, may not be at the fad stages of other oils, but is one of those fantastic things that can do wonders with even just the smallest drop.

A natural ingredient sourced from the jojoba plant, it’s the perfect, easy and natural way to look after yourself without the stress and hassle of a full on routine.

One company who has seen the benefits of this oil is The Jojoba Company, which is proudly Australian owned and even produces their natural products from plants grown on their estate.

They’re also proud to partner with The High Tea Party, taking place around the country, where women will be pampered and indulge in a day with their girlfriends, including learning more about the wonderful work of jojoba. The Jojoba’s Company’s tips on their items and the benefits are extensive, but we thought we’d just break down the basics of their natural product:

So, why is Jojoba so great?

Well, although our bodies are built to produce wax that keeps and locks moisture in our skin, when we hit our 20s, the wax production decreases.

This causes our skin cells to lose moisture, hydration and onset aging.

Add to that an endless schedule, tasks and family routine leaving little time for pamper and care, it’s a wonder that our skin is able to survive at all!

The fantastic thing about jojoba is that it actually produces wax similar to that of which our skin produces. It also has Vitamins A, D and E, and contains powerful antioxidants as well as Omega 9 and 6 fatty acids.

Because jojoba produces something so similar to what our bodies can, our skin recognizes it as its own and therefore allows it to activate and deliver moisture and benefits to our skin.

The Australian Jojoba Company produces 100% natural jojoba oil, which means that there are no nasty or hidden chemicals that could do damage to your skin.

By applying the oil on regularly, skin will rehydrate, keep the moisture locked in and receive the benefits of vitamins and natural goodness to build up beautiful looking, and feeling skin.

Whether it’s make up remover, a skin refining & brightening mask or the simple natural oil, this product can do great things even with the smallest amount.

We definitely recommend giving jojoba oil a go!
