We asked YOU on Facebook what your favourite playgrounds on the Gold Coast are and thanks to some brilliant local knowledge here is a list of Gold Coast playgrounds you HAVE to visit!

1. Broadwater Parklands

If you like a park with a view this is definitely the place for YOU.

This park offers spectacular views of Surfers Paradise and a range of diverse facilities to keep the kids busy.

Right in the heart of Surfers paradise these parklands offer 2.8 hectares of useable open space in which you and your family can enjoy fishing off the pier, swimming, picnics, BBQs and strolling on the rooftop terrace.

Don’t forget to pack lots of sunscreen for a fun filled day by the beach!

2. Paradise Point

Paradise Point parklands are named paradise for a reason! Their spectacular views and beautiful landscape is not to be missed. Not to mention the newly upgraded picnic shelters, barbecues and public amenities.

This park has a huge playground area filled with  new exciting activities as well as the traditional favourites. The park also offers large grassed areas, perfect for a game of cricket or simply kicking a ball around.

The kids will love this park and they are sure to have a great time, whilst you sit, relax and enjoy your day outdoors.

3. Pratten Park

If slides, sandpits and pedal powered monorails are your child’s favourites then this is the place for YOU.

Remember to pack your bucket and spade as there is plenty of sand to play in and bring your bike or scooter as the track that surrounds the playground is the perfect place to ride.

This would be the perfect place to have a picnic on a nice day.

4. Laguna Park

This is the best kids playground because it has a diverse range of interactive and fun equipment to suit kids of all ages.

This park is pleasant and relaxing and is sure to entertain your kids for hours and is fully fenced.

Don’t forget to take a picnic and enjoy what Laguna park has to offer!

5. Treasure Island Playground at Palm Beach Parklands

Do your kids like pirate ships? If they do Palm Beach Parklands is the perfect place for you.

The treasure island themed playground brings out the pirate in any child.

This park is suitable for kids of all ages and provides lots of activities to keep them interested for hours.

Bring your kids down for a picnic and don’t forget to bring their favourite pirate accessories.

  • We go to the Broadwater Parklands often. All the kids love it especially the Rock pools. Would recommend any body visiting the Gold Coast make this a place to visit.
