The Block's Sarah-Jane And Tom Expecting Baby Number Two!

Two of the most popular contestants from last year’s The Block series, Sarah-Jane and Tom Calleja, have announced their expecting their second baby.

The couple, who are parents to two-year-old Cleo, shared the news on Instagram, with Sarah-Jane revealing her positive pregnancy test. She also shared a video of the ultrasound, with the following caption:

“So excited to announce BABY CALLEJA no.2 is incoming October 2023. We feel so blessed and we are already so in love.”

It comes just months after Sarah-Jane underwent a double mastectomy, after revealing she has a high chance of developing breast cancer.

“I had a double mastectomy … because I’m a BRCA1 gene carrier, so I have the BRCA1 gene mutation. It means I have quite a high percentage, like an 85 per cent chance of developing breast cancer. My mum got breast cancer for the first time at 36, so really high chance of getting it while I’m still quite young.”

Tom and Sarah-Jane were among the favourites to win the 2022 series of The Block, called Tree Change, but only made $20,000 profit. Their house sold for $4.1 million, with a reserve price of $4.08. It meant the ended up selling the ute they won on the show, with Sarah-Jane explaining on social media it kept them from suffering a financial loss.

“Honestly Ford Australia saved us financially and we are so grateful they gave such a generous prize to the show that we were then able to win! Our plan was to always keep it but we needed to reimburse our lost money from going on the show.”

She said the couple had to dip into their savings to break even after they lost a combined $60,000 by not working for three months.

I dont watch The Block so have no idea who these people are but I always say that babies always bring so much joy and love into the world so they are always welcome.
I admire her strength in having the double mastectomy. That must be such a hard thing to do

It’s sad to hear that these shows sometimes put people at a loss but at the same time I’m sure they’re getting sponsored through other avenues and congrats on bub number two!!!
