A NSW Central Coast cafe and beauty salon have teamed up to offer busy mums free childminding to give them a much needed break!

Two mums from NSW’s Central Coast have joined forces to make life easier for parents visiting their cafe and beauty salon. Cass Martin, owner of Two Worlds Food and Fun in Wauchope, and her friend Victoria Craggs, who runs Vivid Lashes upstairs, are busy mums themselves and have decided to offer free childminding for parents to give them a break.

Every Little Bit Helps

Cass says the decision to offer the service was a no-brainer. “The partnership is about two people coming together, being mums with young children and we both have challenging children, and knowing we will both be able to support each other,” she told The Wauchope Gazette.

The mums already offer a free childminding service for beauty salon clients, but have plans to expand and provide a more child-friendly space downstairs in the cafe. “Two Worlds is going to evolve into a restaurant,” Cass said. “We made the play centre free and are really focusing on our own food and beverages.”

Pampering Parents

There is a growing demand for businesses that offer a complimentary creche or childminding service improving accessibility for mums and dads. While many gyms and some shopping centres offer similar services, the mum’s idea allows parents to indulge in a cup of coffee or eyelash tint without the stress of finding child care.

“Everyone deserves a bit of a break,” Cass said. “We see this as a unique service we can provide where children can be happy, while the parents get a little pampering!”

This sounds like such a great idea! We can only hope that more cafe’s and beauty salons follow suit!

  • I haven’t had my hair done in over a year because it’s always so hard to find a baby sitter. having a child minding service would be great! Seems like a great idea

  • I’d love something like this near me. It would make it so much easier to get treatments etc done if the kids could come along. I’d pay more for this service too.

  • Wow!! a fantastic idea. I’m sure most Mums will use this service, especially they are having a hair cut or other pampering. They don’t have to try to watch their children for fear of them getting into mischief because they are bored.
