Last year Australia welcomed more than 308,000 babies to our population!

So with all those babies being born when are they most likely to arrive?

Australian Bureau of Statistics has revealed that the most common day of birth is 17 September.

Meanwhile Christmas day is the least common (followed by Boxing Day).

When i was a kid I had a friend who had their birthday on Christmas Day and they hated it. I told her that she should celebrate her half birthday instead and have a party on June 25th. I then kept thinking what an awesome birthday to have as June 25th was halfway from Christmas so you would get presents every 6months. AWESOME. Then…mind blowing….years later I had my baby early and had her on the 25th of June. She loves her birthday.

The closest amongst my relatives was a day or 2 later. There are several of us with birthdays in September

A very common day for me. I find it quite sad to be born on days like Christmas Day or New Year.

Not most popular or least popular for me but I was told September is busy. Apparently lots of babies made during the summer break.
